How Often Should Your Business Post on Social Media Sites?
They’re some of the most common questions we get here at Absolute Web Services. How often should I post on Facebook? Should I be posting everyday on Twitter? What about LinkedIn and Google+? The answer does vary with each social media site, but one thing remains the same: be consistent.
Whether with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, or LinkedIn, posting with consistency is key. But, you’re smart, you probably already knew that. What you want to know is HOW often to post. Absolute Web Services is here to help.
How Often to Post
Our brilliant Internet Marketing Manager Olga Dmitrieva works with clients day-in and day-out to create custom internet marketing solutions. She works with realty teams, medical offices, restaurants, fashion lines and more to make sure their internet marketing strategies are on target. With years of experience and research, our own Olga Dmitrieva had this to say about posting frequency:
“When it comes to sites like Facebook, Google+, and LinkedIn, it is better for businesses to post less frequently, two to three times a week at most. For Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, the best strategy is to post daily.”
The blogosphere has a million and a half opinions on when to post. Some say everyday for sites like Facebook, while other say once a week. Absolute Web Services believes that a good middle ground is essential. You don’t want to annoy your loyal customer base, but you don’t want them to forget about you either. As a good rule of thumb, follow Olga’s advice with two to three times per week on Facebook, Google+, and LinkedIn.
Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest are completely different animals. These social media sites thrive on quickly moving feeds. To get noticed on these social media sites, businesses need to post frequently. Absolute Web Services’ own media strategists suggest at least once per day. Images can be used across platforms, but the content describing them should be unique.
If posting that frequently sounds daunting, that’s because it is. If you just can’t handle the frequency, or want a little bit more information on managing social media, contact our social media marketing department.
